TACC Accreditation

Auto Excellence has been a member of the Tasmanian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (TACC) for over ten years. In 2013, we were the winner of the Motor Industry Awards’ Small Mechanical Repairer and were nominated Small Mechanical Repairer of the Year in the 2012.

900x900-acred-repairer Auto Excellence is a TACC Accredited Repairer. To obtain this accreditation status, we are required to undergo compliance audits to ensure strict standards, premises, equipment and insurance levels are maintained. As an accredited repairer, we are also able to offer our valuable customers free roadside assist, this cover includes:

24 hours, 7 days a week.
Fuel - if you run out of fuel, we are able to supply you with a small amount for the cost of the fuel.
Battery - if your battery is flat, we can jump start your vehicle.
Tyres - if you have a flat tyre, we can change your spare wheel.
Mechanical breakdown - we can arrange vehicle towing for a maximum of 25kms, back to Auto Excellence – A valid voucher is required.

General and New Car Warranty Servicing

Auto Excellence believes that regular servicing will keep your car performing at its best and keep it more fuel efficient. We offer general and log book services for all makes and models of vehicles and are able to undertake minor and major services.

New vehicle log book servicing is one of our specialities and we are able to carry out your new car servicing without voiding your new car statutory warranty. Your vehicle service schedule will be maintained and your service log book completed.

Using genuine or EOM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and the highest quality fluids, our mechanics use the latest scan tools to service your vehicle and we guarantee all of our work.

General Repairs using Diagnostic Equipment and Scan Tools

To diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems with your vehicle, Auto Excellence uses the latest diagnostic and scan tools for fault diagnosis on petrol and EFI diesel vehicles. We have four state of the art scan tools that keep us up to date when it comes to diagnostic information and repairs.

Our Autologic diagnostic tool is designed to replicate the functionality of those used by manufacturers’ dealers, enabling us to provide comprehensive servicing, including coding and flash programming. Technical support is available by factory technicians and specialist software engineers along with a global training programme.

The dedicated team of technicians at Auto Excellence have experience in a large variety of different makes and models of motor vehicles, light commercial, and 4WDs with a particular expertise in Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen.

Air Conditioning Repairs and Servicing (RTA AU24162)

Logo__0016_arc Auto Excellence is an authorised air conditioning service centre with Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC). This means that we are required to work to legal standards to protect our environment and make sure you get the most out of your air conditioning.

Auto Excellence air conditioning repairs and servicing is carried out using the most up to date fully automatic Robinair charging station which is also Hybrid Vehicle Compatible.

Robinair combines simple operation with superior accuracy to recover, recycle, evacuate, leak test and recharge and meets mandatory SAE (Society of Automotive Engineering) standard requirements. Our air conditioning unit complies with the latest refrigerant recovery standards looking after your vehicle and the environment (RTA AU24162).

Brake Repairs and Servicing

At Auto Excellence, we recommend that your brakes are serviced at least once a year. If your wheels are out of alignment, it can cause uneven wear on your brakes and therefore reduce their efficiency. Our brake works include repair and service, disc machining as well as complete replacement.

Come in and see our friendly team for all of your brake requirements, especially if your car shows any changes in performance, if your brake pedal has moved position or if you hear any screeching noises when you brake.

Suspension Repairs

Your suspension and shock absorbers deteriorate over time from regular driving. This leads to an uncomfortable drive for both the driver and their passengers. Auto Excellence provides suspension repairs and inspections to a large range of vehicles.

Vehicle Inspection Station

tas-inspect-station Auto Excellence is an approved Vehicle Inspection Station meeting all the requirements required to provide this service. We are able to inspect your vehicle and check any modifications you have made or are planning to make to your vehicle in the near future.

Auto Excellence can complete any required mechanical and auto electrical repairs to get your vehicle on the road following your inspection.

Drop-off and Pick-up and Loan Cars

Auto Excellence is able to offer a courtesy pick-up and delivery service to you. We are also able to arrange an early drop-off and late pick-up if these arrangements are made at the time of booking.

For approved customers, a loan car can be arranged (conditions apply).

The workshop at Auto Excellence offers a comfortable waiting area for customers to relax while their car is being repaired.

We are conveniently located close to bus routes, supermarkets, retail shops, cafes and coffee shops should you choose to shop while you wait.
